The following
pictures are screen captures by yours truly. Friday afternoon
4/15/03 at approximately 4:30pm EST, an ACAD Department
employee at a consulting firm found something when she saved an
AutoCAD drawing in a DFX format instead of DWG format so that
it could be imported into another program. When she did it
showed up big as day. Must have been some kind of glitch
because I tried to do the same thing at my office and it stayed
the same size. TINY!!! The following pictures are from AUTOCAD
version 2000i. For all of you DRAFTING employees out there
that just TRUST your company to provide you with default title
blocks, have a closer look. Because some times you might find
something that you weren't expecting. And you might send that
drawing out (without ever knowing what was hidden) as a printed
copy for hundreds of people without them ever knowing. And you
might send it out as a digital AutoCAD drawing file and they
might miss looking at it because (*shrug*) they don't know it's
there either! Then again, someone, somewhere MIGHT just find a
glitch in the program to uncover it!
In the end.
The drafting person in question that has left the company years
ago, may not have won every argument, every battle, every
little nit pick and confrontation, but when you find things
like this, they proved that they won the war! And only history
has shown their mark!
